For my first assignment, I am going to focus on creating environments. They will be primarily natural environments, although I may try to add a slight fantastic or surreal feeling to them rather than making them completely realistic. Further down the road I would like to try adding a narrative element to my work, but for now I am going to focus on creating settings.
I will mainly be utilizing material from photographs that I have already taken, although I will shoot/scan new images as needed. In my free time I do a lot of landscape and nature photography, so I have a large number of potential images to work from; my goal is for the finished images to look completely different from the source material.
